Cartridge End User Licence Agreement
Cartridge (the "Software") is proprietary software, © 2026 Stay Cool and Stay Cool LLC ("the Licensor"). It is licensed, not sold. By installing or using the Software you agree to this Agreement. No rights are granted except those expressly set out below.
1. Grant
Subject to your payment of any applicable licence fee and your compliance with this Agreement, the Licensor grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software on up to three (3) computers you own or control at any one time, and to use it to produce, record, mix, and release musical works with no obligation to share, attribute, or licence those works. Activation is per computer; you may move an activation to a different computer at any time using the Software's deactivation feature or by contacting support. All 1.x updates are included with a 1.x licence.
2. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lend, or otherwise make the Software available to any third party. Each licence is per-user.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any binary, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Software.
- Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or licence notice, or any purchase-identifying watermark embedded in the Software.
- Use the Software to develop a competing product, or copy its trade dress, visual design, or preset content.
3. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. The Licensor retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. "Cartridge" and "Stay Cool and Stay Cool" are trademarks of the Licensor.
4. Third-party components
The Software incorporates third-party components under their own licences. Those licences govern only their respective components, not Cartridge itself.
5. No warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
6. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. THE LICENSOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LICENCE FEE YOU PAID.
7. Refunds
If Cartridge isn't right for you, email within 14 days of purchase for a refund.
8. Termination
This licence terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. On termination you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies.
